QuickPass® and the 14-Day Rule Explained:
If you’ve ever come through the front guard gate at Tuscany, you often notice a long line of cars waiting to be approved to come through.
Our Tuscany guards are tasked needing to manually research each guest and the appropriate resident address to verify the guest and allow admittance. Each vehicle takes approximately 6-8 minutes to verify and process.
The Tuscany HOA has now instituted a 14-day pass for any visitor recorded as a Permanent Guest on your list. This is meant to speed up the check-in processes at the front gate. Only these Permanent Guests will receive a 2-week pass to enable those that visit their respective residents often to enter more efficiently and quickly.
How it works: if your Permanent Guest leaves and returns, they can provide the guard with their initial pass. The new pass now has an access code that the guards can use to quickly load the information without having to manually research it. They'll still check the driver license and license plate to ensure it's the same guest and vehicle. Once verified, the guest is provided access to the community. The resident will continue to be notified when the guest enters the community if the resident chooses the option to be notified in QuickPass®.
.
In the event someone loses their pass and it is picked up by someone else, re-entry will be denied. In order for the pass to work, it has to be the same guest in the same vehicle. If the correct guest arrives but is now in a different vehicle, a new pass will need to be issued.
With this new process, the security guards are now averaging 2-4 min to check guests on Permanent lists, saving time for those waiting in line. An added benefit is the HOA saves costs of the thermal paper and helps the environment.
Should a resident decide that their Permanent list visitor’s privileges be revoked, simply delete them from your QuickPass® account and this will void their 14-day pass immediately.
